OUR CHAPTER
Kappa Nu was installed in May of 2006, and has worked hard to maintain the ideals given to us by Sigma Kappa's founders. Our events like the Night to Remember Gala and Sigma Kappachino contribute to the sorority's philanthropic effort. Social events such as formals and exchanges have helped us gain new friendships as well as integrate us into the Greek community. Retreats and trips tie us together as sisters, while our weekly TV and movie nights at the house help us relax during stressful weeks. The qualities of leadership and scholarship are developed both by our E-Board camping trips and study buddy program. Knowing that sister is only one phone call away enforces the lifestyle we live: ONE HEART, ONE WAY.
OUR HOUSE
The Sigma Kappas who live in the house love sharing their home with all of their sisters. During the 2009-2010 there are fifteen girls living in our house. There are ten bedrooms completely furnished with brand new furniture. The bedrooms on the second floor all have their own sink along with a sink on the third floor. The house also has five full bathrooms, a kitchen with two of everything (including refrigerators, sinks, dishwashers, and ovens), a dining room, a large living room with a multipurpose room joining it, and a basement with two washers and dryers. We also have a beautiful wrap-around deck with patio furniture to enjoy when the weather is warm. We regularly use our house to hold sisterhood events, along with sleepovers and informal recruitment events. You can come visit our house at 853 N. 17th Street on the corner of 17th and Kilbourn!
